Day before yesterday we did our first trail run in a long time. It was just under 5 miles, over on the trails in the Chuckanut Mountain area. It was pretty hard, but we did OK.
Yesterday, we rode to Samish Lake, so today we are ready for trail running again. We took a slightly different route, but once again I thought we did pretty well. Fortunately, we got about the same speed. Interestingly, we were both blowing 6 on the Keyto, which surprised us a bit. We hadn’t been trying that hard. Afterwards, I measured my blood sugar which was 82 and Ketones, which were 1.6 that’s a lot higher than it was on the 27th, when it measured .7, and on the 22nd when it measured .4. It was 2.2 on the Friday, one day after we finished our three day fast.
