May 7 – End

I thought that I had slept pretty well but my watch tells me no deep sleep at all last night! And last night I was hungry enough that I put out the pans for cooking eggs and a pork chop but this morning I was a bit nauseated and anorectic. Or at least did not feel like eating eggs and a pork chop – instead opting for yoghurt and nuts and blueberries. Pretty good!

I weighed in at 182.6 so lost about six pounds. Overall, though, I’m not sure I see the point of a total fast for weight loss unless you are super obese. I think I’ve done reasonably well just following a low carb diet very assiduously, without the fatigue and so forth.

We opened a nice bottle of 2014 white burgundy (older ones were dangerously buried) and a 2007 brunello. Otherwise we tried to stay pretty low carb, and to finish at a reasonable time. That’s spicy pork, cucumber salad, Caesar salad.
